主题一: Horizontal data sorting and insightful reporting--A useful SAS Technique
This topic is based on a paper presented at the 2013 SAS Global Forum in San Francisco, US, and published in the international conference proceedings at SAS Support website.
Sorting and ordering of data is a fundamental skill in SAS data analysis. Data sorting can be vertical sorting, across rows, or horizontal sorting, across columns. Compared to vertical sort, horizontal sort is used less frequently, and it requires the user to employ multiple sophisticated SAS skills such as Transpose, Rotate, Array, Macro, etc. it is also an important and useful technique for advanced data analysis and reporting in customer profiling and metrics, which can significantly enhance the format and layout of data reporting, and thus provide informative insights into data.
This topic will discuss the different approaches and methods of performing horizontal sorting and insightful presentation of SAS data, and the application of this technique in retail and financial industries as well.
主题二: An Introduction to Statistical Modeling with Generalized Naive Bayesian Classifier
The supervised classification also known as pattern recognition, discrimination, or supervised learning consists of assigning new cases to one of a set of pre-defined classes given a sample of cases for which the true classes are known. The Naïve Bayes (NB) technique of supervised classification has become increasingly popular in the recent years. Despite its unrealistic assumption that features are independent of each other given class membership, the NB classifier is remarkably successful in practice even when the assumption of independence is violated. This presentation is not only to address how to leverage NB to molding binary response data, but also to comment its advantage and disadvantage vs. conventional model techniques.

Marketing campaign is very important for business to extent the marketing sharing, increase revenue and reduce customer churn/attrition. Campaign management is about the management of a process. When coupled with database and analysis tool, we can have marketing campaign more targeted. This topic is to introduce the common campaign process, go through four main stages, especially campaign execution, and share some tips to have your leads pull more effectively and accurately.

【课程内容】数据挖掘(Data Mining) 已成为企业保持竟争力的必要方法，它已广泛地应用在银行、保险、电讯、商品零售等行业的客户关系管理(CRM)，促销活动设计，信用风险预报等诸多方面并扮演着重要的角色。数据挖掘的发展得益于两个因素：信息的可用性与计算机功能的增加，特别像银行和一些大公司普遍建有数据仓库并用以存储客户及商业的各种数据，这就使得公司利用这些数据并辅以人口统计学及第三方数据去捕获它的客户消费行为模式及购买习惯成为可能。
