Experience in front office trading environment and/or mortgage backed securities will be a plus. Our environment is .NET/SQL Server/Microsoft Business Intelligence suite. Candidate will be required to work closely with the business to gather requirements and build solid solutions that are easily extensible and maintainable. We follow Agile practices for development but do not sacrifice software quality for quick turnaround.
Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (MS preferred) with 5-7 years experience in the Financial industry. Background in Object oriented development and databases is strongly preferred. Background in .NET technologies and SQL Server is a plus but not mandatory.

The new hire will join the Municipal technology front office production services team and will work with business clients to deliver & support trade capture, pricing, risk, eTrading, and reporting solutions based on their requirements. The individual will need to problem solve complex enquiries raised to them directly or indirectly from the Front Office Sales & Trading businesses
Responsibilities will include: Trouble Shooting - responsible for assisting Level I personnel to solve basic technical problems and investigate elevated issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking known solutions related to these more complex issues. If a problem is new and/or personnel from this group cannot determine a solution, they are responsible for raising this issue to the proper development group. Troubleshooting may include, but is not limited to debugging code particularly Java, reviewing log files, running DB queries, restarting processes via AutoSys. Monitoring & Alerts - Monitor Production Environment for Alerts (ie Memory Utilization, App Exception Alerts, etc). Respond to alert notifications and update business/technology as required.
