Job Description
As a Credit Analyst your role is to adjudicate/underwrite credit applications for RESL &/or Personal Lending credit requests while continuing to develop excellent customer service skills and delivering a legendary customer experience to our partners.

The successful applicant must either have previous underwriting experience preferably in mortgage broker environment with strong credit acumen and analytical skills or must demonstrate a deep knowledge of Personal Credit Products and Policies. Experience with Filgoix/Express and or Adjudicate platform will be considered an asset.

To the Customer:
Optimize credit opportunities by assisting partners in adjudicating, structuring, packaging and authorizing credits
Maintain good relationships with partners including responding to questions and concerns
Meet and where possible exceed SLA agreements
Review of documents if/when necessary
Contribute to operational improvements to streamline procedures/processes and enhance service



To the Shareholder:
Protect the interests of the Bank by ensuring credit is being adjudicated in accordance with assigned discretionary limits and established guidelines
Perform due diligence in support of all credit applications
Escalate with recommendation those credit applications that exceed discretionary limits and established guidelines
Be knowledgeable and comply with Bank Codes of Conduct

To the Team:
Actively participate in the performance management process in support of own personal and professional development objectives
Contribute to a positive work environment
Participate in action plans to improve the employee experience
Promote and encourage participation in community related activities
Actively participate in regular meetings and coaching sessions
Participate in unit and national R&R programs

Job Requirements
Individuals who demonstrate a deep knowledge of RESL & Personal Credit Products and Policy are preferred
Individuals with previous adjudicating/underwriting experience, strong credit acumen and analytical skills are preferred
Experience in an exception lending environment
Individuals who can work well independently and within a team
Above average analytical skills, strong aptitude for problem solving and capacity for effective work flow, organization and planning
Proven relationship management and strong customer service experience and skills
Commitment to operational and service excellence
Strong Administration and Customer Service background
Education and Accreditation

As a Credit Assistant supporting PCM you will increase your exposure to the diverse business of carrying out compliance for Real Estate Lending products while continuing to develop excellent customer service skills and delivering a legendary customer experience to our Broker and or MMS partners.
