North American Credit Cards and Merchant Services (NACC&MS) organization was formed in Fall 2011 and brings together the credit cards and merchant services businesses in Canada and the US. TD’s credit card products are distributed through the retail distribution network in the U.S. and Canada; on a national basis in Canada leveraging direct response channels; and, through hundreds of partnership programs with financial institutions, retailers, non-profit organization, sports teams, and other third party organizations. In addition, TD offers private label financing in the U.S. and Canada. With the acquisition of the MBNA portfolio in 2011, TD’s credit card business is now ranked among the largest in Canada and among the top 10 in North America based on loans outstanding. TD’s Merchant Services business provides merchants in Canada and the U.S. with a full range of payment processing services and solutions. TD provides merchant acquiring solutions to some of the largest retailers in Canada.

Job Description
|
The Senior Analyst, Portfolio Analytics and Forecasting will report directly to the Manager, Portfolio Analysis and Planning, and will be responsible for in-depth portfolio analytics and product level profitability in support of the TDCT Credit Cards business. They will also be responsible for producing the product business planning and ongoing forecasting process for Business Metrics.
Accountabilities will include: • Development and production of monthly portfolio level analytics and reporting package to highlight emerging trends and performance against strategic objectives. • Develop product level forecasting and planning models for key business metrics • Identify and execute on operating expense opportunities for the business • Proactively identify issues, trends and opportunities, proposing sound solutions based on judgment and facts • Provide regular and ad-hoc detailed analysis as required to assess business performance • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners • Contribute to delivering on team goals and promote teamwork within the group |

Job Requirements

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to extrapolate insights from data and develop actionable recommendations • Experience in business planning/forecasting an asset • Experience in finance or credit card product management an asset • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills • Experience working with cross functional teams • Strong decision-making and multitasking skills • Strong oral/written communication skills • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities • Strong Excel & modeling skills |

Education and Accreditation
|
Post-secondary education in a business/finance related discipline, or equivalent experience, MBA/CMA preferred.
